Effective Fall 2025, DGS will become the Division of Exploratory Studies. Same mission; new name.
Why you should be an ambassador
DGS Ambassadors are at the forefront of representing the Division of General Studies and play a vital role in our outreach efforts. Here's why you should consider this exciting opportunity:
As an ambassador, you would serve as one of the voices of DGS, sharing your experiences, insights, and wisdom with prospective students through various platforms.
Ambassadors help fellow students by assisting in workshops and making classroom appearances in GS 101 courses, ensuring a smooth transition into college life.
Ambassadors engage with prospective students during Illini Days and other recruitment events, answering questions and providing valuable guidance.
What will you gain?
By becoming a DGS Ambassador, you will acquire invaluable skills and experiences, including:
Serve as a student representative of DGS and assist our team in guiding current and prospective students on their academic journey.
Hone your abilities to communicate effectively and participate in events that leave a lasting impact.
Collaborate closely with DGS staff and fellow Ambassadors, fostering connections that extend beyond your time in DGS.
