DGS Ambassador Program
The DGS Ambassador Program offers the opportunity to represent DGS and support both current and prospective students.
DGS Ambassadors engage in outreach efforts, provide guidance to prospective and current students, participate in events, and develop essential leadership, communication, and mentorship skills.

What do DGS Ambassadors do?
- Serve on student panels and chat with prospective/admitted students and families at admissions events.
- Facilitate conversation and share experiences with peers at learning workshops.
- Speak to new students in our First-Year Experience courses about the exploration experience.
- Provide important student feedback, opinions and perspectives in workgroups.
- And more!
Required Qualifications:
- Be a currently enrolled undergraduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
- Be a current OR former DGS student.
- Maintain good academic standing at the University of Illinois.
- Have availability to participate in at least one activity each semester.
- Demonstrate independent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to collaborate with peers, advisors, and other staff members across campus.

As an extension of the Ambassador Program, Peer Support will soon be available with our Senior Ambassadors to help students navigate their path, get connected, and foster community within DGS.
Our Senior Ambassadors are happy to help help you get involved, navigate the ICT process, explore campus life, and much more.
