One Fair. Hundreds of Opportunities.
The Majors & Minors Fair returns each fall—typically in late September—as the signature kickoff to I-Explore Week. Sponsored by the Division of Exploratory Studies, The Career Center and the Exploration Living-Learning Community, this annual event brings the entire Illinois academic landscape together under one roof.
With more than 100 campus departments represented, the Fair gives exploring students the chance to connect directly with faculty and staff, discover majors, minors, and certificate options, and gather the insight needed to make confident academic decisions. More than 1,500 undergraduates attended the 2025 Fair, making it one of campus’s largest exploration touchpoints of the year.
Students also benefited from on-site career coaching offered by the Career Center, with nearly 40 attendees taking advantage of drop-in consultations right during the event—a reminder that academic and career exploration go hand-in-hand.
