Students may submit a petition for a late drop, retroactive drop, or retroactive withdrawal for courses or terms when they were enrolled in the Division of Exploratory Studies. Only petitions with documented serious extenuating circumstances beyond a student’s control will be considered for approval. Students must meet with an EXP advisor to discuss the petition process.
Courses approved under the retroactive petition process will show as “W” on transcripts. An EXP committee will review your petition and notify you of the decision within 2 to 3 weeks of the petition’s submission.
